Our Dream Program
We believe it’s never too late to experience something extraordinary.
Where Purpose, Passion, and Possibility Come Together
Life is made up of moments—and some of the most meaningful ones are still waiting to be experienced. That’s the heart behind our Dream Program at Columbia Place Assisted Living & Memory Care.
This special initiative is dedicated to bringing our residents’ wishes to life, whether it’s revisiting a lifelong passion, trying something brand new, or simply creating a memory they’ve always dreamed of. From big adventures to deeply personal moments, our team works closely with residents and families to turn “someday” into today.
Dreams Brought to Life

Indoor Skydiving - Byron G.
Bryon celebrated his 71st birthday in style with indoor skydiving. He’d always dreamed of skydiving but never quite got to it. Due to multiple sclerosis, he couldn’t jump out of a plane, so we did the next best thing, taking him to an iFly location in Portland to let him experience the feeling in a safe environment.

Horseback Riding – Mary Lou H.
Mary Lou got to live out a lifelong goal of horseback riding thanks to our Dream program. After admiring horses’ free spirit for years, Mary Lou got the thrill of horseback riding at Horses of Hope in Turner, Oregon, where safe, friendly, accessible, and supportive equine experiences are offered.

Portland Trailblazers – Lorene L.
99-year-old Lorene attended a Portland Trail Blazers game and watched warmups from courtside seats. Lorene and her late husband used to go to Blazers games together from time to time, but she hadn’t been back to the arena in years. The Blazers gave her the MVP treatment, including a greeting from All-Star Deni Avdija.

Oregon Coast – Linda G.
Linda has always loved the coast and was able to feel the Oregon Coast surf on her toes once again. Thanks to our Dream program, we took a trip to Tolovana Wayside, where they have a ramp down to the sand and all-terrain wheelchairs available for rent.

Mass - Rita
At the age of 98 Rita’s dream was to go to mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral (in Portland, Oregon). She was baptized there and went to the school next door for eight years. She said she felt like she was home. The Deacon was able to spend about 10 minutes with her after, and they exchanged stories about the church and school.

Oregon Symphony Orchestra - Carolyn
Carolyn’s dream was to experience a beautiful performance put on by the Oregon Symphony Orchestra. A group of residents hit the town and admired the historic Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall before finding their seats for Carolyn’s dream to come true.
